Gf Eats Takeout Restaurant

Incredible!! They offered an array of sweet treats on the counter, frozen foods to take home and so many options on the menu. Understand that they were setting up the new shop so service was slower than usual, however they communicated this early and we had no problem playing the games provided in the shop whilst we waited. We ordered the calamari & fish and chips w salad, and it was absolutely delicious - I would bring anyone, GF or not, to come here for lunch. Excited to come back again.

We stop here every time we are in the area. Amazing GF food! So nice to have quality food that isn't overly sweet and fresh! The lemon meringue was still warm and the pastry was delicious - we had all three things in the pictures and I can't pick a favourite!

(leaving the original post mostly intact - but do see edit note at the bottom if you're reading this) Been sitting here for the last 30 minutes. Be warned, it’s basically hotter inside than outside. We ordered 2 simple burgers with chips, it honestly shouldnt take more than 30 minutes. I’m just going to keeping writing until our food arrives. Hopefully when I finish writing this (I’m writing very very slowly) our food will be ready. I get that they’re popular, and the used to be a "market stall" but it seems the owners have changed (not true, still the same owner!) and it’s also no longer "market stall" - which you expected very little wait time. Anyways, food is here now , it’s been 38 minutes. Hopefully they’ll improve in the future. EDIT1: Based on the owner's responds and her lovely shout out on facebook, I do wish to apologize for getting the facts wrong! (i've corrected food truck >> market stall, so we don't keep spreading mis-information). I also read in one of the comment that the owner has changed - that is NOT TRUE! Didn't realize the store had just re-opened at a new spot, and that the owner had been going through so much while keeping the store running. GO HER and her team! The food really was lovely and didn't taste "gluten free" at allllllll. It still was a frustrating experience to have to wait for a long time in the heat - but I think that experience will be very different once they get their AC installed. Looking forward to visiting again soon! I think it might also be useful to have the staff tell us approximately how long it'll take - this way, if the wait is going to be longer than 30 minutes (which is to be honest worth it), we can duck out to do something, then come back for the pick up.

So so so good. Well worth the drive from Sydney! My non-gluten free friends loved it as well. The fish burger is an absolute must have. I ordered a breakfast burger myself but tried a bite of the fish burger off my partner, and immediately had to order another. My non-GF friend (a food photographer, so he gets to try lots of places) said it was the best he’d had all year! The funnel cake and custard tarts are also delicious. Very classic unpretentious flavours. I wanted to try the whole store! Service is also very friendly and welcoming. However, seating is minimal and without much cover so it gets hot. Best for takeaway.

So good to be able to choose from a wide range of delicious cakes knowing that everything is gluten free. The Portuguese tarts are amazing and the chocolate brownie is one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Service is very good, coffee excellent and they also have an extensive menu of gluten free savoury treats (which I haven’t tried yet).

Wow, hands down one of the best fish burgers I’ve had (regardless of being gluten free). The batter was crispy and fish was perfectly cooked. For once as well the gluten free bun wasn’t like cardboard. Pastries were excellent as well.

I have been meaning to come here ever since I heard about it. Finally was able to go and i am amazed. First was the customer service. I said that I’d never been here before and asked what was gluten free (I have a gluten allergy), she said everything was. EVERYTHING! I was at a loss for words, never in my life had I been to a completely gluten friendly cafe/restaurant. The lady serving me was so lovely in helping me decide what I wanted. I ordered the chicken schnitzel burger with gravy and some donut balls. All gluten free. I couldn’t believe it. It was about a 30 min wait for the food which was fine because when I got it OMG I think I died and went to heaven. I could not comprehend how it was all safe for me to eat. Safe to say I left no crumbs and it was the best burger I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be coming back for more. Thank you to everyone who did their part in opening this cafe. It means so much to me that people want to provide nice quality food to those of us who can’t eat gluten.

An unfortunately rather late review but relevant none the less. I'm gluten free and my dining buddy is not. We visited GF Eats in January and dined in for lunch. We also bought a number of items to take away. We had the waffles with ice cream and bacon and a chicken parma. The food came out promptly and was absolutely delicious. We both loved the food, there was no evidence that any of it was gluten free. No weird textures and no disappointingly small sizes. The dining-in area is small but it works. We aren't from the area so it was helpful for us to sit for half an hour and enjoy our food. As well as hot food the store offers a large cake selection. We got a layered brownie cheesecake combo which was really nice - I'm personally not into brownies but I was intrigued. It was rich and decadent with a layer of blueberries in the middle. We also bought a caramel eclair which was really good. Choux pastry is a challenge with regular flour, let alone gluten free flour. There's also a small store inside to buy specialty gf items - a highlight was coeliac safe "smarties"! There's also loads of savoury items that are frozen to be cooked at home. We bought a tray of cinnamon buns to bake at home. It's a great store with real heart. The team put in a massive effort and they are very active on social media and keeping their Google Maps / listings up to date. This is super important when coeliacs are sometimes driving many hours for a dedicated gluten-free venue.
